Space Gray X3 is in !

Ive been a silent spectator for a while and im happy to post that I finally got the space gray X3 . Got it with the Premium/Tech/DriverAssist/Lighting/DHP , absolutely loving the ride !

A couple of issues have cropped up within the first few weeks :
- squeaky steering wheel at low speeds/stationary
- Front passenger leather bolster already starting to crease/wrinkle

Do you guys think I should show this to the dealer or am I just nitpicking ?

Cheers !

I thought I'd seen another post about a service bulletin for the squeaky steering wheels on the new models. Look back on the posts on this forum.

I'd 100% get all issues looked into by the dealer.

Also got the wrong wheels on it - should be the 605's - send it back

Great looking motor though.

Congratulations on the car - it looks fabulous!
The squeaky steering wheel may just go away with use, but could be worth getting the dealer to look at it. The leather looks absolutely fine and it will develop some creases - it's impossible for it not to. If you look at any car in the showroom with leather, there will be some wrinkles or creases.

I'd definitely go along to the dealer and demonstrate both issues to them, even if they don't do anything immediately, ask them to record your concerns on 'the system'.

That way, if things get worse, they'll have a record of you complaining about the issues immediately after delivery - this could be important if the creases in the leather get much worse* as it will be difficult for them to use the 'normal wear and tear' argument when it's started happening from new.

*I know that all leather stretches/wrinkles a little but some pieces of leather seem much more prone to it than others

Thanks a lot guys for some great advice, its funny because this was more or less an impulsive buy (was trying to use the brain but went with the heart instead ! ) and the guidance on here has been immensely useful .
Ill plan to go and have the issues looked at and documented for sure !

why the beige interior? i just got the same exterior color but decided on black interior. first thought was to go the oyster white, but after only a few days driving, i'm happy with the black leather interior

Thats what the wife wanted, i would have gone for black if sports seats were an option like they were in previous model years but women seemingly really love beige

My leather seats puckered even worse than this on my 2013 X3 with oyster interior. The dealer agreed it was much worse than normal but BMW Canada refused to do anything.

Thats crazy. Its appalling that the leather on a 50k+ car should start withering with less than 500mi on the odo, and it actually seems to be getting worse day by day.

Bears repeating.....using show car "glaze" before wax or sealer really brings out the "Space Gray" color. Darker and more depth in the color.

Nice auto!

P.S. Don't change the rims they look great on it!
