Paddle Shifter Wiring F25

I recently purchased a 2015 x3 with a heated steering and lane departure warning but missed the paddle shifters that my other x3 has. I purchased a steering wheel off of a 2013 BMW x3 that has lane departure warning, is heated, and does have paddle shifters. What do I need to code, and how do I check if my car has wiring to support paddle shifters? Also, if my car doesn't have the wiring, where would I need to run cables to get the paddle shifters working. I am proficient in e-sys and am an engineer.
