Thumbs up Map Update X3

Recently update the navigation database in my 2011 X3 xDrive28i. Found the company through a web search after my attempt to download an update from an ebay listing would not install. The company is *************. They send you memory sticks (3) with the update loaded. Use the glove box USB connection and follow your nav screen instructions. It's just too simple. Total time for me was 55 minutes. You have to return the sticks and a stamped return envelope is included. Can't say enough good about my experience. // JC

What is wrong with posting the name of the company? Like most they would relish the chance of more business.

I think the moderator want the forum posted accurate information and not for commercial.

I always keep my maps updated, installing versions 2-3x a year. It costs nothing, except 40 minutes of install time.

Just bought a 2-year update subscription via the BMW ConnectedDrive Store - £69.95. I see that some of the online suppliers are asking around $99 (£80) for just 1 year.

Yes I noticed the BMW price on my iDrive some weeks ago. Anybody paying $99 was having his wallet emptied by these supposedly under-cutters. Some do frequent this forum. Some of us got lifetime FSC codes for very little money and many of us know where to get the map updates for free. No that it affects you now.

In fact one person was rude to me when I sent him a PM. There again it takes all sorts to make the world go round (get ripped off).

The car is new to us and is different in coding terms to the BMWs I've had before but once I get into it I'll no doubt save a few pennies down the line, £69.95 isn't too bad a price for 2 years. The download/unzip/upload to car process does take a while though!

I must agree with you. Not too bad a price. BMW have switched on to the cowboys who were charging silly prices for one FSC code and one map update and are now under cutting them and taking their gravy train away.
