looks like a Q5 3.0T could give the X3 35i a run for the money... i just hope they figured out steering better than big-GM-suv like the Q5's i test drove last summer

Don't get your hopes up too much. An engine similar to that has been available in Europe for ages. Vs the 30D X3 it's 10mpg imperial / 8.3 mpg US worse and it's slower. You need the BMW diesel in the US, but you know that!

The wife drives a '12 Q5 3.2, very nice. Tried the X3 but she wasn't crazy about it, did not like the outside look. We traded my A4 for it and I got her 09 328i, now I have to make do until it is paid for so I can get something that makes me smile again.
