How do I fold my mirrors in?!

It doesn't look like I have the power fold option.... and when I push (albeit, not as hard as I could) on the mirrors, they don't fold very easily.

Anyone have any idea if they move at all before I break my mirrors off?

Do you have a button on the driver's door, back and to the left of the mirror adjustment pad? On mine that folds and unfolds the mirrors. They don't seem to work the same as the ones on my 330i, so pushing on them might not fold them like it used to. I can try later today.

I have a button, a little black thing, but pushing it doesn't do anything (the button doesn't even compress). Thanks in advance for taking a look!

Sounds like you're identifying the right/left mirror selection button. It would be near that one - to the left of it. If I recall, there is a small white icon of some sort on the button.

In the US this is part of the Premium Package. If you don't have that package you don't get folding mirrors.

As LEDZEP said, there is a button to the left of the mirror selector switch if you have the option.

If you have the option, when you press the lock button on the remote and keep it held down for a few seconds, the mirrors will fold and any open windows will close.

I definitely don't have the button (and no premium package).

Does this mean my mirrors won't fold at all? even manually? I went out and tried pushing again, but they don't seem to be budging.

The standard (not power folding) mirrors can be folded manually. Press straight back on the outer edge of the mirror housing. It takes about 20-25lbs. (10 kilos) of direct force. Once you get "through" the detent, the mirror should rotate very easily. It does take a "serious" push to get them to move at first. I hold on with both hands so as to not spin the mirror too fast once it starts to move. The mirror housings will fold back about 35 degrees. They won't fold far enough to touch the windows.

Don't be afraid of hurting anything. the mirror is designed to fold, just not by itself.

If pressing very firmly doesn't fold the mirrors, you can always try hitting the mirror housing with a 4lb. Engineering hammer.
That will certainly do it. JUST KIDDING!

How do you measure the actual force required to fold the mirrors Lotus?! Does the front door on your house have a lbs rating? Would 30 lbs be enough to take you on in an arm wrestle?

Just a "guestimate" (hence the "about") based on lifting too many packed carryon bags.

Just to prove that the manual mirrors actually do fold:

Not true on the F25 (least in the US) as far as the mirrors. Haven't tried the window portion.

Please ignore the color balance. The Vermillion Red is really much more blue and not so orange looking. I didn't bother to correct it before posting.
Also should have labeled the shots:
"Normal" Half-Folded' and "Fully Folded"
