Yes the dealer treats it like they are giving blood by throwing in the mats on top of the deal! The rubber ones that is!

Carpet floor mats were in mine on delivery from the dealer (without any request on my part). I'm actually now in the market for the rubber ones.

We were told that carpet floot mats are standard options in cars that are picked up in SC. Had to pay dealer cost on them. Took them out when we got home and put in the BMW rubber ones (bought on ebay) which are very nice. We'll put the carpet ones back in when we sell the car.

I thought this was weird too. This is my fourth new car, and I have never bought one that did not have mats before. My DH told me that he had to ask them to add some into his BMW328 after I left the dealership. Who knows why he did not mention it while we were still there? I was not with him when he bought his car and did not notice until after I drove off the lot that there were no mats in mine. I already looked online and will order the rubber mats for the front and the back when I pick up the green slip.
