Bimmer-less no more!

Yesterday, i picked up the car at the Performance Center. Other than getting motion sickness from the ride in the M5, it was great! The factory tour was impressive, and the PCD staff was awesome. Highly recommended!

The car looks great, and I am very happy with the Mojave interior. It always looks better in person than in most pictures. The anthricite head liner that comes with the sport package is VERY nice. Much better than the standard white.

I am staying in Charleston SC for a day or so, couldnt ask for better weather!

(During the drive from Greenville to Charleston, every bug in SC decided to commit suicide on the front of the car..LOL...I will be spending time today cleaning them off)

love the deep sea blue, was my #1 choice but my wife wanted V Red (not upset though since that looks stunning as well).

Congrats! Glad you like the colors as much as I do. Your X3 has convinced me that with DSB + Mojave - you can't go wrong w/ the wood trim or the alum brush trim - they both look great.

Can't wait to see your post comparing the E83 to the F25 after some miles

So far I can say this:

The ride is FAR better than the E83, the F25 is much quieter, too.

The F25 is so much nicer, I am almost afraid to drive it!

The premium sound in the F25 sounds very good. The graphic equalizer was a smart addition. (The E83 stereo was also good, but this is a step up)

Thanks everyone for the comments!

I think you have that backwards - the F25 is the new one

Forgot to add: Great looking car Botwin. Wish we had PCD here. I hear nothing but good things about it. Enjoy!

Thanks! When I was at the Performance Center, one of the staff asked us if our dealers told us about PCD as an option to receive the car. He said many dealers dont mention it, and therefore many people dont know about it. He was wondering why, as they have brought dealers there to show what it is about. (In my case, I knew about it ahead of time and requested it. It was my CA's first PCD delivery, although he had done many Euro deliveries.)

I think many dealers just want to keep moving inventory, and are not interested in the "perks" as, in the short term, it does not really help their bottom line. What they miss is that things like PCD can help build brand loyalty and repeat business.

Well, it has now been a month...2700 miles on the clock, and not one issue at all. No rattles, bogus warning alarms, etc. The car is great! I am glad I got the upgraded stereo. I love how you can rip CD's into the car, too.

I wish I got the HUD, though. The X3 I drove at the performance center had it. Xenon headlights might have been nice, if not just for the angel eye DRL's

I added the mud flaps and have ordered the chrome exhaust tips.

Glad you love your new x3. Don't be too disappointed about the HUD. If you use quality polaroid sunglasses the HUD doesn't work.

Can't wait to go down to pick it up myself. One week from tomorrow!

Just out of curiosity, did you get any gifts from the PCD like keychains? I'm thinking about buying 2 but I didn't want to buy them if they were giving them out. Also, free full tank of gas? lol

I got free keychains from my CA. There were no free gifts at the performance center. (They have a gift shop!)

You do get a full tank of gas. I cant recall anytime in the last 20 years or so where I didnt get a new car with a full tank of gas. (Are there still places that deliver a new car with just enough gas to get to the corner?)

You will love the PCD. If you get motion sickness, take some dramamine!

How much does the PCD experience cost? And do you avoid the $875 Destination and Handling charge?

PCD is free with the purchase of a new car. You still pay the $875. You only have to pay for the flight to the PCD. The hotel, and meals are included. Not a bad deal.
