My previous car was this nice machine:
A V50 T5 Geartronic Summum which was a great car. But having driven an Audi for a test drive and some BMW's I've that there are cars with a much better chassis and handling.

I still drive a Volvo for private use, a fully loaded 2.5T geartronic. My company cars are only used for business use (something to do with huge taxes on lease cars when used privately)

Before that:

Volvo V50 2.4i Geartronic Summum
Alfa Romeo 156 1.8 wagon
Alfa Romeo 156 1.8 sedan
Some VW Passat's

Was driving a '06 Honda Accord EXL 4 cyl manual. Solid comfortable, reliable, boring. Before that a '00 VW Jetta GLX w/VR6 also manual. Fun car except for the continuous nagging problems. Wifey was driving a '03 Toyota RAV4. Now going to the kids.

This F25 is our first BMW. Came from an '05 XC70 but up until a couple of months before placing the order was pretty intent on an XC60 D5. In the end went for the X3 30d largely because of the availability of the 30d engine in the Austalian market.

Cars driven or cars bought?

Drove: (family hand me downs)
1985 chevy rwd blazer
1989 buck century
1995 Saturn SL2 sedan

Then bought:
2003 VW Jetta GLI
2003 CPO BMW 330i sport (totaled)
2003 CPO BMW 330i performance package (amazing)
2009 Mazdaspeed3

Pending:
2012 BMW X3 35xdrive

Planning:
CPO 135 summer car next spring

Did not grow up in wealthy family at all so you could definitely consider me 'new money'... Worked very long and hard to finally be here and going to really cherish and love my X3 and all the things in my life I'm blessed to have (family, etc)

2007 Toyota Rav4. It has a v6, but I don't think that will compare to the 35i!

New to the BMW family.
Coming from a 2006 Audi A4 Avant quattro.
Very impressed with the X3. Love the comfort, the technology, and very fun to drive.
Waiting for snow and ice to see if I will miss the quattro (quattro very impressive on ice and snow).

The X3 replaced my E61 M Sport Business Edition - Le Mans Blue.
And when I sell the X3 in April 12 I'll probably be buying an E61 Touring.

I am driving a Volvo C70 D5 SE Lux Premium. Mid-life crisis convertible.

Before that a MB C270 estate

BMW 330d touring

Volvo V70 2.4 170hp

VW Sharan 2.0

It will be nice to have a 6cyl as I have a 3.0d SE on order. Dealer has just confirmed late Jan delivery for me. 6 weeks earlier than eta when ordered.
