X3 Diesel Smoking.

Hi all, My 05 2ltr Diesel X3 with 59k has on my way home started to smoke at random. Not all the time just now and again. Happens most when pulling away or under load. Any ideas Cheers Andrew.

Mine smokes on cold morning start ups but at no other time. Aside from mechanical problems most diesels smoke when the injectors are clogged with residue. It could explain the random nature of the smoke, especially if you are driving in traffic.
