Any way to ... ahem ... accelerate the water pump failure?

Just had our 35i X3 throw a "low engine coolant" code. Topped up and seems Ok but you know where my head is going on this.

I have 6 months warranty left, can i errr... coerce the water pump to get this done on BMW's dime rather than mine?
