My "Thank You" Thread

Just wanted to post some specs and pics and thank everyone in the community for making me the best informed consumer I can be.

PDC delivery 10/27 - Was a great experience, would definitely do again- bottom line is it is an excellent want to get acquainted with the limits of your new vehicle without actually hammering your new vehicle. Highly recommend the experience.

Fog light switch out went fairly smoothly. Honestly, I was a little disappointed with the MTECH 4370k's. They're whiter than stock but are definitely missing the blue hue of the new F25 halo/xenon. When these blow am going to try the MTECH 4750k which I almost bought anyway but was afraid they'd be a touch too blue.

Going to try and hard wire escort within the next 2-3 days. Nervous about popping off the panel but hopefully it will go ok.

First 2012 dash with gloss dash trim, far better than 2011 (wonder if its a easy retro fit? knowing bmw = NO!)

Can you do us another pic showing gloss dash close ups pls?

What are you planning to do for tires over the Winter?

Well I'm in the Mid-Atlantic and the past few winters I've survived with my FWD Mazdaspeed3 (i.e. 3" ground clearance) with four studless ice and snow's on it and done pretty well.

We had a few major storms last year I had to borrow my wife's FWD SUV with studless ice and snows on it too mostly just for ground clearance on unplowable/unplowed roads.

I have to make it to my job/work come hell, high water or Apocalypse so "staying home" isn't really an option during the bad storms.

I figure brand-new all-seasons on the Xdrive system SHOULD get me through this winter. In the spring I'd like to spring for the 310 Double Spoke 20" with some ultra performance summer tires and use my current Msport 309 19" during winter and eventually replace original all-seasons with winter-something when they are worn.

Admittedly I thought I would hate the 309's but they are really growing on me.

Anyone else doing this?

Congrats h0mersims0n. Beautiful! perhaps we'll see each other around Baltimore. You ordered from Towson but did PDC correct?

BimmerUK76 - the gloss dash trim looks cool but not enough to make a change imho.
