White smoke from exhaust on Startup

So my 2013 X3 started having the white smoke on startup issue a little bit ago. It is out of warranty with 53,9xx miles on it. Took it back to the dealer to have it looked at. It happened to be a leaking Turbo Oil line which quite a few have experienced here. The reason for this post is that BMW NA stepped up and paid for everything for this fix. I didn't have to do anything and this was all initiated and handled by the dealer. Obviously, I can't vouch that this is BMW NA policy, but if any of you experience this issue and is your car is Out of Warranty, give it a shot.

2013 X3 28i turbo oil line replaced at 44,700. Lots of smoke at start up. Intermittent problem caused by oil pooling in line. Known issue.

Do you know how much that repair would have cost you if BMW would not have taken care of it ?

I now have these symptoms. It only shows up after sitting for more than two days. A month ago out was out of town for 2 weeks, and when I started it up it was like a white smokescreen behind my car. It has since happened twice, when my car sat over the weekend. I have it in the dealer right now.

Oh, 2013 28i with 40k miles.

Had the same issue with my 2013 28i first noticed the smoke at 42K miles. Took it in, showed them a video of the smoke and they ended up replacing the oil supply line for the turbocharger.

Not sure of the cost since it was covered under warranty.

Had same problem with u guys 6 months ago .. dealer replaced turbo under warranty ..

BMW NA has extended the warranty on the Turbo oil pipe causing this problem on N20 engines

"SIB 11 11 16" makes the North American Warranty now 10 years/120,000 miles

FYI, 2013 X3 28i, now with 73,000 miles started exact same problem a year ago. White smoke from exhaust. The more days it sat without use, the more white smoke. Also oil dripping from exhaust pipe onto driveway. Expected a fight with dealer but turbo line was replaced under warranty -- no charge.
