Spray wash engine bay
Gave my other car a battery boost today and noticed the engine cover is quite dirty. Is it safe to use wand wash to spray down most of the places under the hood? Probably will avoid the electrical but the cover and other plastic pieces would be good to be washed.

In a word, "yes". In fact, I sprayed down my engine last week.
Caveat: Don't spray a hot engine, don't soak the electronics, and wipe down afterwards to prevent water spotting. Last edited by Radioactive; 05-21-2012 at 12:12 PM.. |

NO, you might get lucky but sooner or later high pressure water will get somewhere you really don't want it to. Why not just wipe down the cover with a wet towel.

Oh here we go again.
http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=539026 These cars are not that fragile and can withstand a soft to moderate rinse. After all they do go outside when it rains, floods, stream crossings, etc. |
