2016 X3 engine off leaves radio on

Just picked up my 2016 X3 today - oh wow! - when I turn the engine off, the radio stays on (radio ready mode) and I have to push the ignition button a second time to turn the radio off.

Is there a setting so that when I turn the engine off everything is off? I thought it did the right thing the first few times I stopped, but now I'm not sure

Thanks!

Push twice. The first push is analogous to turning a car key to the Accessory position, and the second push is analogous to turning a car key to the Off position.

It will automatically go off in a minute or two if you're still in the car. Also, locking the X3 from the key fob or door handle will automatically turn it off.

You can have your car coded to change that. Now mine is one push to turn off the engine and as soon as I open the door the radio shuts off.

You can search this forum for more details. Here you go:

http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showth...ghlight=coding

You can either do it yourself by downloading software and buying a cable or pay to have it done remotely. Having it done is usually $100 and they can code MANY things to make you enjoy your X3 even more.
