Passenger Door

My passenger door unlocks, but I can't open the door. Several tries with locking and unlocking the door, finally the door opens. Anyone else have this issue?

It's the "Christine" option. It means you need to be nicer to your car or else...

Is this inside or outside?

My current 3 series loaner requires two pulls on the inside handles when the engine is on - might be true for the X3? I think it's a safety feature to ensure they don't get pulled by accident. This might be what you're experiencing?

All BMWs (that I know of) require two pulls when the doors are locked.

No, from the outside. I unlock the car. The stem goes up. But I can't open the door.

Apologies YOYO1111, was responding to the bit above not you. Not being able to open from the outside makes no sense to me. Only happens to me when it's locked. Are you sure you've unlocked all doors? Depending on how you've set the car, one click only unlocks the driver's door, two clicks opens all of them. You can change it so one click opens all.

It did it yesterday went I picked up my father in law. We were standing outside of the car. I unlocked all the doors. We put my son in the back. Then, when he went to open the passenger door, which I was watching closely, it didn't open. Even though it was unlocked. Sounds like I need to make a trip to the dealer

Are you serious? Can you tell me your issues with the paint? Because I was washing the car and I noticed the paint is not that good. What issue are you having? Also, what's wrong with the bluetooth?

I have deep sea blue paint. passanger door has runs . you can see it when the sun hit's just right.even after washing the car many times, i did not see the runs.on the back hatch at the top, on the roor. many problems with bluetooth.took 1hr to pair the phone. it worked for a few days then stoped .i could not get it to pair again.2 weeks now. also, the raido will wipe out all settings / tone settings aswell. this happens all the time. this is the premium sound system.the dealer took the main bus out so i had no raido for more than 1 month. this also affects other operations within the car. good luck!!!

I have the same problem with my bluetooth! It took a day to pair. Worked fine for a week and now it doesn't. It sort of works. No contact info comes up or it stops completly. I had the same problem with my E90 328. But I don't have these issues with my X5 or my M3.
Mine X3 is space gray. I see flaws all over. Tiny flat spots. Kind of blochy/patchy paint.

Can you take a pic of the blotchy/patchy paint, or is it only in certain lighting that you can see it?

Really? I can change this. This is great news. Where is the setting? I find the double, triple, quadruple push annoying with my passenger standing there. Thanks for this tip!

It's on unlock settings: driver's door only or all doors
