How long did it take to get your X3 in Canada?

Ordered late April and expecting a June build July delivery. Dealer is thinking second week in July.

That's fairly typical for Cdn orders, figure best part of 2 months from Order to Delivery. Not unusual at all. It's longer everywhere else, except the US.

Ordered it in November. Built it at the end of December. Got it in March.

mine was ordered last day of March and is expected end of May (this week -19 is actually being produced). So if all goes well, it's a 2 months timeframe from A to Z. (Toronto)

Did you get regular status updates from the dealer? How do you know it is being produced?

We don't have production videos, and I am wondering if I should bug the dealer every now and then to get updates

My dealer keeps updating me with emails.....

Mine is "production completed" (status 155)

Should be here by the end of may, so that was pretty fast (april 18th-may 31st +/- 2days)

still the agony of waiting. Saw a couple of 35i m-sport being delivered. They look more muscular than the stock body.

Saw also an X6M with 21" black wheels

, that belongs to Jonatan something, a los angeles kings goaler.

the dealer sends me a screenshot of the status. It is like "stone ages" but it is at least better than nothing...
I compare this with the 3 Series I bought in Germany while living there... boy I can tell you, it is different!!!!!

How long after production do they normally start shipping?
I assume we need to calculate another 3 weeks on top, correct?

I would say 3 to 4 weeks for the West coast. Almost all of it is sitting and waiting as they coordinate logistics because the train ride is not that long.

If the delivery is May 30th it should be complete and released to carrier by now. You should bug your CA some more.
