noise when lifting off accelerator/gas pedal

4500 miles on the clock if our 2014 28i ... when accelerating above 2k RPM I get a small clunk in the left front near the dead pedal or deeper just about every time when I lift back off the pedal ... it almost sounds like a small pebble being thrown against the fender liner. it's repeatable enough that hopefully the mechanics can nail it down quickly but thought I'd ask here since I won't be able to take it in for a few days.

anyone else experience this?

You might have a loose pedal. I had a loose brake pedal but never dealt with it because the X3's list of problems was exhausting.
