X3 M sport 35i DHP
I'm looking for an x3 35i m sport with DHP. 2015-2017. Space gray, silver, or carbon black exterior. Saddle, black, or mocha interior.
It seems impossible to find the DHP option. I literally don't see one 35i in the entire country. Is this futile? Everyone raves about DHP. If anyone is selling please DM me. Cross shopping SQ5 and Q5 TDI v-6 but prefer the x3. I'm a BMW guy. Never owned an Audi and don't really want to learn a new brand. |

DHP is a rare option on X3's. Will have to run VINs to know if one has it for sure. But even without, I think the X3 handles better than the SQ5 or Q5.

DHP is over rated IMO.

Found a fully loaded x3 35i m sport with DHP. Too bad it's 2500 miles away.
Glacier silver over HK audio, heated rear seats, etc. Literally the only one I see in the country with DHP/ EDC. |

you dont really want to learn a new brand? damn, how hard can it be, you must struggle to find the milk in the grocery
im nagging you , i got your point. I analyze both, I was to get a audi Q5, the overall car is better imo, but x3 offer about the same thing for less money. youll love the quattro. |

I don’t want to learn a new brand from the maintenance stand point. Just a degree of familiarity with bmw repair and I have a good independent mechanic.

Get it shipped or fly and drive it back. I've done that with all of my cars in the past 15 years. I never buy a car locally. Far better deals elsewhere.

Doesn't matter, point is y'all are treating DHP on the X3 like it's the ZHP 330i. I believe since my car is M-sport, it has performance control and variable steering. The only thing missing is dynamic dampers.
Coilover upgrade was always on the books, and will provide better handling than DHP for the purpose of my car (canyon carver/track). That's why it doesn't matter IMO.

You do bring up a good point that m sport already has variable steering and performance control , so your only missing the electronic dampers and if you plan on coilovers, then the electronic dampers would have been a waste. |

I’ve flown and driven cars back around 8 hours away. Shipped one sight unseen also and I was disappointed in the condition even from a Bmw dealer. California is a long way from DC! We’ll see what pops up. I drove a dhp equipped 28i today. It felt much smoother riding than the standard suspension when set to comfort. When set to sport I have to admit that it didn’t stiffen up as much as I hoped. Also drove the sq5 with fixed suspension today. It was the stiffest of them all with the worst ride quality but seemed to corner the flattest. The x3 feels a bit more agile and better balanced compared to the sq5. Drove the regular q5 and it was very floaty. The n55 feels like it has more low end torque than the sq5 v6, but the sq5 has slightly less lag and sharper throttle response. It’s a tough call but I think I’ll hold go x3.

I like having DHP on my X3. KW makes DHP compatible coilovers, too. I'm still hoping to get ShockWare flashed on it. I've found a Dinan dealer who's willing to try when none of the in state ones would. It's a 6 hour drive away, so it may not happen right away, but might end up being a nice mod for the DHP X3 guys if it works.
