You should have all gone for the manual. Half of a cow's backside surrounds my gear lever.
Seems to be a really sensitive issue for some. I know it's the detail that makes the difference. Surely there must be a way to get it as a part shipped from the US. |

I'm glad my X3 does not have the leather gaitor that I have on my 535!
It is just a trap for dust and dirt. The ball/socket arrangement on the X3 is much cleaner. |

This is a good point. My last manual was the same. Looked unsightly and was difficult to clean
