- Replace all plugs (4). They are same size.

Did you reset the transfer case? I am planning to replace the fluid soon.

How many miles on your fluids? They do look pretty dark. What type of driving? City, highway, towing, mountains, loaded with weight? What about the trans fluid, has than been done or is that next?
I have a 2011 w/ 60k miles and thinking to do all mine soon (diffs/transfer/trans).

66K miles. No towing, no racing, no mountains... just normal city car. Yes, I agree - liquids were quite dark. I am glad I did the change.
Transmission was done a few months back, I posted pictures couple of pages back in this thread.

Had water pump and thermostat replaced pre-emptively along with an oil change. Done last week and forgot to mention it. Added cargo net set-up in the luggage compartment last night as well as heading out on a trip today. Jersey and back and then flight to the Keys. Car rental at the other end is an X3; we'll see how that goes. Pretty certain it's a four banger.

Shop did tranny and transfer case fluids- 73K miles. Pic is sample old tranny fluid.
Can feel slightly smoother shifting and noticeably smoother operation at very low speed driving.

Replaced rear brakes. Nothing hard, used FCP euro set. One thing that was strange - caliper mount bolts, that have torque spec 75 Nm 45°10°. I had no idea how to read it, went anal on the first bolt and torqued it to exactly 75Nm + 45+10 degrees and realized that I can not move wrench even a milliliter further. All other bolts I simply torqued to the max of my strength.

60,000 mile oil change on my wife's '17 35i over last weekend. Transmission fluid change is on the horizon before too much winter sets in.

Drain not really necessary; I put plastic sheet and stuffed towel under the area to catch the small amount of coolant that I lost when cooler was unbolted.

After gasket job completed I refilled expansion tank and ran bleed sequence.

Removed and cleaned the MAF and MAP sensors. Probably a waste of time, they were dry and spotless.

Meguirs #7 and a crap load of elbow grease on the Blackline trim. That was worth the time and effort, went from an oxidized rainbow colored mess to shiny and black again.

All that junk around the windows of course led to a thorough wash and wax. Ready for winter!

removed all 4 OEM runflat tires (Bridgestone) and replaced them with significantly cheaper 4 Yokohama standard tires, ride is much more smooth and responsive.
