Anyone figure how to code oil change default value. I want to change my f10 from 15000 miles down to about 7500 or 8000. Not sure if it can be done in esys or ista. There has to be a way.

You would need to change the Oil Service Option Code in your FA and then flash DME Module.

Yes, it can be done by E-Sys. Car would need to be on a commercial grade charger good for 50 amps minimum. It is not that difficult, but if something goes wrong during flash, you could brick your DME ECU.

ESys Version For Coding
It was mentioned that Esys 3.25.3 does not seem as stable as 3.24.3 and that 3.24.3 will anyway still get the job done. Is the different significant enough to affect coding? Are the anomalies perhaps just more cosmetic than to have an impact on actual attempts to code?

But since you can get E-Sys 3.26.1 along with E-Sys Launcher with built in Token Generator, there is no reason to not update, as it costs you nothing.

PSdZData Version Challenges
Thanks Shawn.
I started out by following the instructions at the beginning of this popular thread and eventually guessed at the cause of my problem by the time I got through to about page forty of these postings that my ZoneAlarm firewall was almost certainly not helping. Turning off the firewall and reading more pages of others' feedback (it was also good to learn that it is wise to have the engine running while applying updates, different from the first instructions) I now figure that my errors are due to my ActiveHybrid 3, while having a 2012-07 build date, has a current I-Step of F020_14_07_505, and my version of PSdZData is F020_14_03_502 (52.1) is of course out-of-date already. It is quite amazing how just four months' generation difference results in an ability to only process about three of the dozen or so CAFD files. Visiting the dealer may give reason for pause, especially if they do an update for no customer-stated concern. So, I think I now need 2.53.5 or higher to get much of anything done. Perhaps I need ESYS 3.26. I have spent quite a while on this so far, and still made no progress. How might I be able to secure the more recent version? Thanks in advance. |

LED turn signal coding
I've asked this question on different parts of the forum but had no luck, I figured this would be the thread for it!
I changed out all turn signals front/rear and brake lights to led's from superbrightleds a while ago. The front signals work fine, the brake lights work fine, but the rear turn signals do not blink in sync when using the flashers/hazards or when unlocking/locking the car. From what I've observed the passenger side (right) side rear turn signal blinks slightly behind the left side about 75% of the time. All other lights flash exactly at the same time (fronts, side repeaters, left rear) but the right rear lags most of the time I don't get it.. (It kinda looks like the videos people posted comparing one side LED, one side OEM - except for me both sides are LED obviously, but lag looks similar) For coding away all issues, I have all bulbs set to LEDs, and have warm and cold checks set to not active. Weirdly, last month when the dealer reflashed the cic the bulbs were blinking perfectly in sync when using flashers and for locking/unlocking (but obviously hyperflashed and gave warnings for turn signals). As soon as I recoded away the errors, the right rear started lagging again in flasher/locking/unlocking situations. Any suggestions on how to fix this? These are the exact LEDs installed all around (very bright btw highly recommend) https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...ed-tower/1326/ |
