my BMS filter is in need of cleaning
so I decided to pick up a 2nd intake / filter so I can switch back and forth while the other is down for servicing https://www.knfilters.com/63-1132-pe...-intake-system (I wonder if we should tell the people over at K&N that this intake system fits more than just F10 535I's) |

went for a test drive that night, and grabbed a free Whopper from Burger King (thanks tmobile tuesday) ... impressions = the new intake is much quieter compared to the BMS one it replaced
also noticed a gas station nearby had e85, might as well fill up! made a friend while pumping, what a clean example of a car that is 25+ if not 30 yrs old |

Do you have to do any coding for E85?

Will be sharing some UOA's soon. I sent in tons of samples to blackstone labs, for my trans oil, transfer case, and both front and rear diffs

Installed bootmod3 stage 1 for now and wow quite the difference from stock I'm very pleased. Only issue is I'm not hearing any burbles even though I have it enabled (not major issue as I only wanted to briefly have it on to mess around)

I'm not sure I see the benefit in e85 other than reduced fuel economy.
Of course, in my diesel I don't use ethanol. Just try to avoid > 5% biodiesel. |

Yesterday I drove down to see Mono Lake (Calif - Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountain area) - beautiful ride, and the Lake view overlook was impressive!

Nope even easier just a thin trim with double sided tape simply put over your existing trim got it from ebay for about $140 but saw it on Aliexpress for less later on. I'd use 3M tape though as the tape they provided was a bit weak for the door panels.
Could probably push them for a lower price, I offered $140 and they took it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-BMW-X3-...IAAOSwW75cfQqm Looks great imo and much more of a "value" for a purely aesthetic piece, oem carbon trim is like $1500 |

Mods completed
Hi,
Just finished with all my mods that I’ll be doing to my X3. First I went with Eibach lowering springs with a modest lowering of 1.5” front and 1.3” rear. Then I took my wife’s X4 wheels which were 605’s an had them mounted to the X3 cause the 307’s just didn’t stand out! I then installed 15mm spacers on the front and 20mm on the rear to give it a little bit of an aggressive look. The last piece was to replace the grille with double spoke matte black grilles to set off the front end. It’s a desired look that I wanted for my ride. |
