get compact spare tire with rim, i may just do that as well. it should fit in the back. i have to figure a way to tie it down

i was thinking about it but that would require space for the spare tire and then you need to have space for the tire you need to bring back and get it fixed. That would work if you are driving around town but if going on a trip with family and your trunk is full that could be a problem taking the big 19" wheel/tire back with you...

i was just browsing online for bmw spare kit (tire with jack) since x3 doesnt come with it.
