When you FDL Code as you have already done, you change individual parameters.

When you VO Code, you apply the option codes specified in your Vehicle Order to the entire ECU, letting it make all the required FDL Code changes for you.

Thus by modifying your Vehicle Order (VO) to make it seem as if the car has factory 6NK, and then VO Coding HU_CHAMP, it will code everything needed for 6NK in the Head Unit all at once. If the hardware supports it, then BT Audio Streaming should then work.

I figured out how to change the VO from 6NH to 6NK but audio still isn't avaiable as an option when I program my phone. I know there has to be a way out there and I will figure it out!! (Hopefully)

What did you do after you changed VO?

Well I read in the vehicle FA on the top left and then I saved it which allows for editing. I changed 6NH to 6NK then clicked on save and load back for coding. Then I went and confirmed the change on the top right hand side, under the "options" drop down and sure enough it changed from 6NH to 6NK and stated enhanced bluetooth blah blah blah.

I then went into HU_CHAMP, and coded the car.

All the menu's for the bluetooth audio are still there. Only thing missing is the actually check box under bluetooth options to allow my phone to do audio and telephone. As of now it only comes up as telephone.

Once you have a Modified FA (VO), you must load that FA, Activate it, then Read your VCM, highlight HU_CHAMP, the ECU itself, not the underlying CAFD, and Right-Click and select CODE.

This will code the entire ECU to support your modified VO. As a result, any FDL Coding you did will be wiped out in the process, so you would have to go back and FDL Code any parameters you previously changed.

Ok I tried that and coding processed failed writing to the SWL. It coded the CAFD files but it must of messed up somewhere else. My usb stopped working and so did my bluetooth. I had to load up my factory FA with 6NH instead of 6NK and code that back and everything went back to normal.

in other words. It didn't work and now I am losing hope lol

So the TAL window when you VO Coded HU_CHAMP showed a ProcessedWith Error message?

Yep, I should have taken a screen shot but I forgot and quickly moved on. And I rather not try again and have to keep redoing all the indiviual codes again and again lol

The error was at the very end I believe it said it could not write to one of the swl files. It seemed to code the rest just fine. Radio did work just bluetooth kept saying loading over and over and my usb flash drive would not be read.

I know there has to be away to get this option activated. If my ringtone can play over the speakers why couldn't the music? TRICKY BMW lol

I have heard this is possible. I will dig a little deeper, since I do not have a 6NH car to play with.

I figure that won't work because I don't have the combox. Once I retrofit one I will be doing a lot of coding to make sure I reap all the benefits of it. I just have to find the location where the combox goes and if it is a direct swap

So I have no seatbelt notification or reminders and I can use AUTO windows when doors are opened, I even can drive forward with opened door and unfastened seatbelt, but I could not reverse with unfastened seatbelt and opened door, parking is engaged automatically. Why? How to change this?
