F25 ICAM coding
Been trying to get ICAM working on an F25. After finally getting the camera connected and recognised on e-Sys, I VO coded 3AG, The camera functions come up, and the parking sensors move across to the right. I just see a blank black screen for the rear view display.
I am using E-Sys 3.27.1 with tokenmaster launcher pro 2.8.2.162. PSdZData Lite 4.19.40. There is no CAFD is CAM2 ECU, my problem is that 'Detect CAF from SWE' is greyed out, as is everything in the KIS/SVT box, as well as the right button Coding and code FDL options in the CAM2 ECU only. ECU detail seems OK from what I can see... ISTEP is F25-19-03-530 (current) Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? |

2017 X3 XDrive 28 M - Apple Carplay activation
Hi,
I own a 2017 X3 Xdrive 28 M but cars in Oman don't come with Apple Carplay activated and the dealer says its not possible to have this done. However reading online i understand that my car since its a 2017 model does have the hardware required for carplay to work. The menus in the I Drive system don;t show carplay as an option. Actually even newer 2020 models dont have that either. Upon research i found different website claiming to be able to turn this feature on using USB coding for a fee. Bimmer Tech charges $399 and others charge as low as $65. I am really interested in this and do not mind paying $399. However, i am worried about causing damage to my car if i do this. Can you offer me advise on this topic. Will i be taking any risk. Is there a chance that this may brick my car? or cause damage to the ID system and void my warranty? I have read on post where someone was saying that if the ID system is updated by the dealer after i have done the carplay activation it may undo the coding, lockout the USB port and lockout other features in I Drive rendering it useless at which point my only recourse is to buy a new screen. I really want to do this but do not want to spoil my car. I just purchased this car new although its a 2017 model and dont want anything bad to happen to it. Your advise will be much appreciated. |

That didn't work, uninstalled everything, installed E-Sys 3.31.0, then Launcher Pro 2.8.2 again clean from tokenmaster's website. I get the message:
Unsupported Version - Esys Version 3.31.0(build 50446)-2017-09-06. On Tokenmaster's page for 2.8.2 (Basically a FU to people selling 2.8.1) it says it only supports 3.x.x versions (up to 3.2.8) Is there an older PSdZData version that you can PM me a link to as this is a 3+ year old F? ....Thanks, that opened, and picking up I-Step rather than greyed out. I'll check it on the car tonight.
Thanks for that, should have read the version number more carefully... |

Purchase used 2016 X3 28i m sport w/o heated seats...
So I just took home a 2016 x3 m sport w/o heated seats. While doing a final walk-through with the dealer tech, the passenger side seat started to get warm in the areas heated seats would normally heat up. Is there coding to be enable control of the heated seats and/or would I need to recode a new climate control panel with heated seat buttons?
Thanks in advanced and excite to begin my x3 journey. |
