Pick up today
Picking up my new x3 later today. First time ever bought a car that not test driven. Bit nervous but sure going to love it.
Just for curiosity has anyone ever bought a car and then really not liked it?

Your going to love it. I mine will be here next week. I have gone and driven one at my dealer at least once a week as since I ordered it haha. I should say I live a block away from the dealer and a friend works there
 Im excited and jealous right now HAHA. Well jealous until next week |

My brother makes a habit of buying without a test drive. He's in an Audi A4 Avant that he never drove now (bought 3 years ago) and he's got a Ford S-Max Diesel 163PS on order to replace it and he's never been in an S-Max! His theory is all modern cars must be pretty good and he can't be bothered to drive them. He's not too bothered about handlling/performance etc, more fuel economy and features.
Your X3 sounds very similar to mine. I had to get pretty much the entry level 2.0d SE with very few extras due to company car lease limits, but I did get auto transmission, standard bluetooth and DAB with the Black Leather. Delivered on Tuesday this week and all good. Auto box is amazingly quick up through the gears which feels different to how I would drive a manual and the stop-start is pretty alarming until you get used to it. But it's smooth, quiet and classy. It's a BMW, what could possibly be wrong with it!!! |

I really am astounded just how good the standard 17" wheels look on all the pics posted recently. I've always thought that manufacturers deliberately put on the fugliest wheels they can think of in order to milk several hundred (or thousand!) pounds more out of buyers.
I was fortunate to see the spec I wanted (actually what become forum member DJ Daddy-Os car) and was impressed with the look of the standard wheels. I was much happier using the cash saved on wheels on the cold weather pack.
