It's Here!
Well it arrived at the dealer today!
I caught him by surprise as I was driving past the dealership this morning and saw the carrier truck unloading it. It’s filthy from the trip, but still a beauty to my eyes. I’ll pick it up tomorrow afternoon once they get the prep work done. Some Details…. 28i Jet Black (with a top layer of squashed bug juice at no extra charge) Chestnut interior (not as red as in pictures, looks “classic”) Premium and Tech package Comfort access, heated seats and a few other options Order April 12, finish production April 30, delivered May 11th. As a bonus I found $0.37 in the seat cushions |

Great news, Harp.
As a general observation, 28i orders seem to come faster than 35i orders, US orders are faster than any other country, and, of course, Chicago really isn't all that far by rail from S.Carolina.

This one didn't travel by rail, but came by truck. It was delayed more than a week so they they could fill up the carrier to our region. I think mine was built quick was because it had already been in the que as a week 50 build, so I just modified it. Some of them were also bumped up due to the non-navigation parts issue.

Pictures will be a couple of days.
It was on the top row of the carrier in the front position so it got the worst of the stuff that it encountered over the long trip from SC to Illinois. While I was tempted to shoot a few, I didn’t want to post any of the dingy bug encrusted exterior that I saw today. Much better to get it all shined up for the photo shoot. |

Congrats!! Look forward to the photos.
It's a shame they no longer exclusively use enclosed carriers like they used to. It's luck of the draw these days.

I want to take them when the scum is cleaned off and the car is nice and shiny. Right now it looks like a 10-year old beater that has been driven hard through the swamp. (well maybe not THAT bad, but you get the picutre)
How do you upload pics to this board? |

He’s doing that as we speak.
I happened to be driving by the dealership as they were unloading it from the carrier truck, so they hadn’t had a chance to do any cleanup or the dealer prep. I’m scheduled to pick up the car this evening. I’m sure it’ll be all sparkly then. |

1. Click reply/quote then Go Advanced then click Manage Attachments button and you can add up to 10 and click upload. 2. Or, if you have something like flickr or gmail, publish the photos there first, right click on the published photo and choose Copy image URL, then click insert image (advanced reply) and paste. If you use method 2 you have more flexibility and no limit on number of images (size of attachments)
