F25 X3 vs E53 X5 dimensions..the verdict is...

....BMW claims new X3 as large as previous X5 correct? YES, If you look at the pics below from their catalogues they ain't yanking our chain its as large as E53. However the E70 X5 and the X6 are massive in comparison as shown below though its interesting to see the F25 has more head height that E70 X5 and E71 X6 which is good for 6 footers!

The only reason the F25 X3 has more front and rear head room when compared to the E53 X5, is because the seats in the X3 sit closer to the floor to give you the impression of having more head room. Sitting in the back seat of the X3 you will notice your knees ride up higher than in the E53 X5 making you have less comfort and support for your legs. overall the E53 X5 still has a bigger back seat and more comfort than the F25 X3.

Here is some more comparison FYI. F25 X3 vs E83 X3; F25 X3 vs E70 X5 and F25 X3 vs E84 X1.
Red color means "smaller" for F25. Sizes in millimeters and litres.

Its seems the X1 is smaller than the E83 X3. I thought they were comparable in size.

Garage List
No, the X1 is pretty much the same size as a 3 tourer, just higher up.
