Car completed production on Friday (April 29th 2011) and got an email from BMW to say my video was available today (May 3 2011). Dealer also emailed to say it was on the way to them.

Paul - Setting aside the Red Sox vs. Yankees rivalry...congratulations on the upcoming delivery of your X3. What part of Boston you from...often go to Belmont. My X3 finished production today ...exactly 30 days after I ordered. I should be getting my video in 4 days based on your experience.

Hopefully living here on the East Coast ...delivery will be swift...and you have the X3 by this weekend. Stay in touch....let me know when yours arrives. MAX

We're on the same schedule, mine finished Friday and I also got the video today. i expect delivery to the dealership tomorrow or Thursday. So by weeks end I should be driving it.

How long did it take from start of production to end? I am guessing 5 days.

Mine just entered production yesterday (Monday May 2), so I am curious as to exactly how long it takes to complete.

Mine is completed production either today or yesterday (today I think), so I can probably expect the video to be available 2-3 from now. Nice.

My video came today as well. Dealer says he expects delivery tomorrow. Depending on how early it gets dropped off, I may get tomorrow evening or Thursday.

Just curious as to when you all ordered? I ordered April 12th and do not even have a production date when I call the 800#.

I ordered April 23 and got a slot for week 18 (May 2).

It doesn't matter when you actually ordered your car. It depends on the slot your particular dealer can allocate to your order.

Started Thursday 21 and completed Friday 29th

April 30 was a Saturday, not a Friday. Do they work weekends or just weekdays?

Sorry, my mistake! It completed production on Friday 29th April 2011.

Relatively new to the rivalry as I'm new to this side of the pond, from the UK originally, but getting the hang of it. I do feel for all the folks in Europe who are waiting so long to get their X3's when we are getting them turned around in only a few weeks.

This just makes me upset because I went to 3 dealers and decided to go with the one that obviously gave me the best deal. However the 2nd one I visited was promising the car in 3 weeks. I should have just gone with that one, so I would have it within the time frame I need it.

Well it didn't come today, it's still sitting at the factory waiting for transport...looking more like early next week now.
