Whats the best price do you think i could get for this car?

I am looking to order in an X3, at the negotiation stage with BMW Kingsway in Melbourne.

The car and the options are

X3 20d
Grey - Metallic
Oyster Leather
Sun Roof
Business Nav

I am being quoted 76K for this. What is the best price i could expect for this?

Thanks

I don't see any discount there. I'd go for 50% or more of dealer delivery and the 4yrs

Just had a quote come back for corporate pricing. Discount of 3.5% (about 2500 total) 4yrs servicing. Reckon I can do better yet.

Isnt 2500 only a little over your dealer delivery 50% discount you expect under the corporate program? Or are you talking 2500 of the price of the actual car?

At the moment it's 1.5% off the vehicle, 1900 dealer charges normal for rest. A more accurate check on my spreadsheet reveals a saving of $2800. A discount of 3.6%. This is just the normal corporate discount, no haggling yet. I think another $2k off isn't too much (says I lol ).

Oh, and that knocks a base spec 30D down to $79k on road.

Whooooaaa! Just checking prices and I note that BMW have increased MSRP by nearly $800! What's with that!

Thanks for sharing that. Sofar only have non discounted quotes in.

Yes, noticed those increases as well. Think it happened the other week as base drive away went from under 70 to just over.

30d all of a sudden looks sooo close. But then i would still have to get several of the options i want on top of that, so will try and keep blocking that one mentally.

Price increase sorted - because of Japan you need to have the extended connectivity/ USB included. Price reflects that now. Is ok because I'd included it as an option.

Ah - I didn't have that one on the list, so that will be an addition for me. Still waiting for a quote with corporate pricing taken into account, although in the end it will all be about difference between the trade in and the new car.

Hope to get things sorted over the weekend. Still having to do a compare with the XC60 after the Q5 dropped off the list with all the options needed in the spec I was looking for, plus a very average dealer experience (no car, no brochure, could tell more about the car than I was told etc).

Unfortunately, now that I have taken more time, the 'nice-to-haves' have moved to 'wants', but that should come as no surprise.

I am not getting that much traction from the dealer yet. I get the corporate discounts, but nothing more. The dealer is claiming that as they are new and in high demand they dont need to discount. I dont buy that, there is always room to move.

i might just go to another dealer.

So the $800 increase means that the usb extended connectivity is included? What does this extra option give? The manual says it gives you Album Art functionality with Nav Professional

I am only getting the business nav and i had thought that i will get album art with it, is it not the case?
