Just an idea ! Is the US dealers ordering their cars to be on stock and you get lucky that configuration match what is already ordered by the dealership.

Unless they took the expense to ship my car back to Spartenburg for PCD pickup too!

Why is it they don't just build them in Munich as well? Is most of the demand actually in the US (hard to tell from the forum which is clearly all over).

Dealer told me she thought BMW was giving priorty outside USA because they could charge a higher price and there is a higher demand for the X3 from other countries.
