sport activity package question
Weird, but I do not like the aluminum lining around the windows that comes with this package. The dealership says I can't get the other benefits of the package w/o this...is this true? Also, is there no way to upgrade the wheels w/o the package for the 28i? Ugh.

You can choose any wheels you want, but you'll pay for it. You can also delete the x-line trim. Personally, I love the aluminum. Makes the car look more euro and less domestic. Just be happy chrome isn't standard.

What color are you going for? For what it's worth, I think the chrome trim stands out much more in photos than real life. Fits to me. Couldn't stand it in photos of my jet black 330i, but in person it worked fine, for me. Same with the X3.

Jet blk or blk sapphire, undecided. I test drove the blk sapphire with the sport pkg and I just can't get over the trim around the windows.

I've been told by two dealers that I can't delete the chrome trim from the SAP -- has anyone been told otherwise?
I'd love to get the Shadow Line black form the M-Sport package, but again, no luck. I have an xDrive35i, Black Saphire on order. |

It's brushed aluminum, not chrome.

Definitely agree on that its color sensative... mineral silver or space gray for example...the aluminum adds an awesome contrast to the color.... I also agree that when it comes down to it, the shadowline is the sweetest window trim in the BMW arsenal...
