xDrive35i, Shadow Line and Sports Steering
I just ordered the following:
xDrive35i Black Saphire Metallic Black Leatherette (I spend a lot of time near/in water) Comfort Access Keyless Entry Panoramic Moonroof Rear Seat Backrest With 40:20:40 Heated Front Seats Brushed Aluminum Trim Premium Hi-Fi system That in mind, I have a couple questions that I'm hoping current xDrive35i owners might be able to help me with; 1. Is the xDrive35i's steering wheel different than the xDrive28i? Specifically, when configured w/o the sport package the xDrive35i appears (at least on BMW USA's website) to have the sportier wheel standard. Can anyone confirm this? 2. Does anyone have the leatherette? What do you think? 3. Has anyone found a dealer that's been able to order the shadowline roof rails w/o the M-Sport package? I really wanted a roof rack (and the SAP for that matter) but can't stand the X-Line trim. Does anyone have a black X3 w/ just the chrome roof rails? Better, do you have pics?Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks! Last edited by Cx35i; 03-13-2011 at 07:46 PM.. |

Congrats. The standard 35i has the sports steering wheel. This does not include shift paddles. I do not believe dealers can complete custom orders in the US to include your request. For example, I wanted the sport seats but I did not like the metal trim outside. I had leatherette on my 328i and I thought it was just fine and held up well for four years. The interior looked brand new. My 2011 A4 driver seat looks bad and I really take care of my cars. This is my first BMW with leather and I hope if will hold up better than the Audi.
