X3 will be based on next generation 3er. It will be interesting to see the new interior!

X3 will be the first model to preview the next generation 3er so it will showcase some design elements that will be shared across the family.

...

Now we know the direction we have to take the new X3, make it the most dynamic mid-size SAV in it's segment and make up for it's shortcomings first time around.

When the next X3 comes the X1 will begin to make more sense in terms of size and positioning.

White color X3 mule

A new hybrid model is also tipped to be on the table.

2nd Gen X3 Pic's

Hate to post my own pic's,but wanted to point out a couple of items on these new shots. As Mii pointed out.... this is the first 2nd Gen X3 test mule spotted that is not painted "BMW Test Mule Black".Also, this car has what appears to be production ready roof rails.....also not spotted before on an X3 test mule.In the direct side shot look at the difference in the clearance under the front wheelwell compared to the rear wheelwell. This driver hammered the accelerator when he realized I had a camera. The car really "jumped" when he hit the gas.You can also see very clearly now the family resemblance to the X1, new 7 Series and 5 Series GT in the hood and front quarterpanel of the new X3..as evidenced by the side shot.Enjoy.Thanks! Palbay
