Emissions recall
Called my dealer to schedule and he recommended that I delay for at least a month. He mentioned software issues, vehicles being stranded at the dealership. I will be waiting

Please update us after your dealer visit.I would ask if he is aware of any other dealers having software issues with this update.Good Luck.

Made an appointment at the dealer to get the DME reprogrammed as per the recall. The service manager advised me to take a loaner since it would take over 2 hours to perform the software update.
So far the update does not seem to have an impact on the performance. It did wipe the presets and default some of vehicle settings though (date/time format). It also reset the Sirius XM radio. I don't have a subscription but it looks like I have access to XM radio for now. |

I did that for my '14 X3 last week. It takes 2-4 hrs (depending upon which model take how many hours). My maps looks updated but I lost few coding I did in the past. So I had to do it again.
