F25 (2013 X3 "m") exhaust conversion
I have seen 3 or 4 X3's (3.5) with a dual exhaust conversion, but cannot find a source. Can anyone help? I have attached a recent picture.
Thanks |

There seems to be a Supersprint exhaust available with quad pipes -

Maybe we can inquire with aFe or Remus to see if they have any planned quad exhaust for us and set up a group buy?

Supersprint can be found her
http://www.turnermotorsport.com/BMW-...and-parts.aspx And Remus is another option. Bavauto and beemerzone both sell Remus for our cars. I would be curious to hear how it sounds. Supersprint is top notch in terms of quality and sound. However, I haven't been able to find msporT rear diffuser required to run dual exhaust.

Body strip? The lower bumper was sanded and plastic remodelled so it looks like it was molded from the factory then repainted.

I researched and found a company called AI designs in NY that does the Supersprint exhaust installs for X3 and X4s. They will also trim the rear bumper section to accommodate the extra tips. They also lower and do performance upgrades. I'm getting pricing from them now to do a few things.
ask for Todd if you're interested. Ai Design, Inc 64 Marbledale Road Tuckahoe NY 10707 1-914-779-9000 voice

Sorry to drag this thread up again...
But has anyone released an aftermarket Quad diffuser to beef up the rear end yet? Much like the one in the first picture. I wonder if the Alpina XD3 would fit... |

Spring is in the air - at least in Sweden
Time to plan for spring upgrade. I can recommend M Performance Klappenshalldämpfer wih two modes - legal / illegal, remote controlled. All INFO on X4 thread: "Anyone installed M Perf....." incl. youtube clip from Russian X4 with STD and Klappen. Klappen is made solely for X4 35i M, but should, with a little adaption, fit on a X3 35i M. |

Reviving an old thread with a different solution.
I love the stock muffler sound of my X3 35i and don't intend to remove or replace the stock exhaust. Instead I am going to have a cutout installed (probably post resonator) and pipes routed as if I have a quad exhaust. Then a switch to the cabin and I can have the best of both worlds. Mostly doing this because I ordered the Alpina rear diffuser and it comes with quad cutouts, but not looking to put on a remus/supersprint since I think a switched straight pipe is more versatile.

in fact its not the exhaust but how the engine is designed. We're a far from N54 sound, even N52 is way better. My friend tried ton on exhaust on his M235, and after looking each video on youtube, he realized this is almost impossible to make it sound good. In a onther hand, the BMW did a insane job on the B58 sound. Anyway, a cutout exhaust is the way to go ! love the sleeper option to make noise. |
