Are there any benefits 2012 X35i vs 2013 X35i
Greetings,
I'm thinking of purchasing an older X35i, and am wondering if there are any benefits of the 2013 model year over the 2012 other than resale value, mileage and wear. Assuming the drivetrain and suspension would be the same, does one year offer a setup that the other does not? Thanks |

also 2012 to 2013, N55 get the electronic waste gate actuator.
But not all 2013 got it. Some early 2013 still got the mechanical actuator. from my reading there's not much to worry about, electronic seems a bit more reliable, and flash tune won't be the same. |

Is the reliability of both years about the same?

2011 & 2012 have Comfort/Sport/Sport+ modes, just no Eco due to no Auto Start/Stop (which I would disable anyway).

2013 the power tailgate was standard, but only an option in 2011 and 2012.

Search for EWG and PWG (electronic, pneumatic waste gate).
Not much info on reliability, I read once that the electronic might be better since it wont leak. One thing for sure, electronic allow a better control for engine tune. |

Yup..everyone says the 2012 N52 is bulletproof and NA and it's proven to be pretty reliable so far.
