Weathertech Liners vs OEM All Weather Liners
I have the Weathertech liner in all my cars and i was about to buy them for my 2017 X3... but since i got my CPO via Costco, i got a 50% coupon for parts / accessories / etc.
Anyone got the OEM LINERS out there? Hows the quality / fit? In the pictures they look exactly the same as the WT's just a different branding. |

OEM come to about 60% of price of the WT's ( assuming the 50% discount ), should i just go OEM then?

Nah, there's a set of OEM all weather floor mats. They aren't as 'deep' as the weathertech ones in certain areas up front, but I didn't like how the weathertechs cover up the deadplate so I went with OEM.
OP, They look and feel great, but you want a full set for the front & back for everything to look nice. The regular weathertech rear liner is one piece, but it's really flimsy and crappy feeling (doesn't sit flush in corners after owning it 2 year). The OEMs are very thick and don't seem to get dyed or discolored after 2 years of owning them.

Hard to say 100%, the shape of the texture lines in it are different. Even harder to say since places like to use generic pictures making that a bad way to compare.
I'll have to check mine again, see if it's really a mix or if they just don't say Weathertech on all the pieces but might still be from there. Will flip them over and look for indicators of where they are from. Just have to remember... |

It protects just as much as the weathertech do... We can be pedantic but a liner is a liner if it keeps the carpet dry.
These are for an F15, but the F25 ones look identical. These are the ones I'm talking about OP: https://www.amazon.com/BMW-All-Weath...12&ref=sr_1_12

Yeah the liners are different from the floor mats. The liners are made of hard plastic that follow the shape of the footwell covering a little more that just the mats.
Too bad the dealer dont have those in stock, i can't see in person before i place the order :I |

Again, this is getting pedantic... I was just sharing my experience with my version of the OEM winter liners. FWIW, these liners do a better job in the rear than weathertech's flimsy crap. I'd rather be making comparison's surrounding function than the way a company has branded different products

I had them both. I prefer the OEM because of the looks and as mentioned earlier, the weather techs do not absorb much.

I wouldn't say the fit is perfect but it's pretty good. I actually prefer these since their higher walls handle more melted ice & snow here in MN. |
