Just got an offer from BMW for the X3/X4 30d M Performance Power Kit.
The offer states the same increase in power and torque as I heard two yrs ago: Power increase: 258hp -> 286hp Torque: 560Nm -> 600Nm Price: € 1400. |

According to BMW, there are different kits for the X5/X6 30d and the X3/X4 30d. See diagrams attached.
MPPK for X3/X4 30d: 258 -> 286 hp (210kW) 560 -> 600 Nm MPPK for X5/X6 30d: 258 -> 277 hp (204kW) 560 -> 585 Nm |

Interesting. All info I can find says 585/277, so it would be nice if these numbers are correct.
I have an X4 30d, but it has the option "reduced power" which mean 211hp (still 560NM). This is because of norwegian car taxes. Anyway, I still get 585NM/277hp (or even better, 600NM/286hp if those numbers are correct) with the MPPK, so it's quite an improvement. Edit: according to a guy on a norwegian BMW forum, the kit gives 585/277, even for X3/X4. 600/286 is from some old TUV-papers, and the TUV-papers provided with the kit says 585/277. |

- BMW has made a mistake when they sent out the offer stating that the power output would increase to 286hp (from 258hp). The true and official figures are 277hp (as said by other members). BMW say that they are sorry for this mistake... It means that the MPPK no longer interests me... I'm putting this to rest now. |

Scandic, Chopper, you have "old" cars - why not look ahead and this time buy a real engine, since diesel has fallen in disgrace .
I am planning to - in about 3 years time -to downgrade, since I don´t need that much room, to a X2M/X2M35i or whatever performance version with 300+ bhp, will be called. |

I've mounted the MPPK on my 30d, and it was totally worth it.
Bear in mind, I had a detuned version of the 30d with 211hp. |

I went from 211hp/560Nm to 277hp/585Nm. 0-100 improved by 1.4 seconds (on paper).

The old one was 7.0 seconds, and the new is supposed to be 5.5 (which actually is 1.5 seconds quicker), but that could be with 286hp/600Nm and not 277hp/585Nm, so I'm not actually sure what the correct number is.
