Hey Sank,

No progress yet. 1-800-831-1117 has been saying "Your vehicle has been released to a carrier and is awaiting transportation to a port of exit." for the last few days. My CA said they should get the vehicle this week, but doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Officially, the X4 goes on sale on July 12, and I wonder whether BMW will wait until then to release the vehicle to me.

No owner manuals available yet either:

I can t wait to obtain my VIN code too still three weeks to wait until the car should be put in production.

So apparently word on the street is the X4 hasn't received EPA approval (in the USA) yet, thus the hold-up.

My X4 has been ready for over a week and is gathering dust in BMW's mega Spartanburg parking lot.

(I flew a quadcopter drone over the parking lot looking for it. There she is! ... Kidding!)

Yocal, Just saw the update, that the "EPA holds" on the X4 xDrive 28i, are now released..
These cars are now being shipped to the Dealers...

Thought you would appreciate the update.

BEAUTIFUL! .... Gas mileage on the 4 cylinder is one reason I liike th 328i and its no slouch. I finally got to slip into one of these at the BMW Drive event at the Metlife stadium last weekend in white. Had the M Badge on the fender which seemed like a pretty nice touch with the vehicle being M Sport. The 20" wheels looks great and snow tires for 20" are cheaper than 19" so I would go that route too.

Would you be willing to share any details on the purchase? I went to my dealer at Park Ave bmw and the rates are pretty high for this car as far as leasing goes. Made me look at the Macan which I configured for about 59K as well. A bit less bells and whistles but 6 cylinder S and Quad Pipes was worth a look, Porsche leases are pretty tough though IMO so ill be looking at this car again in a couple of months to replace my 2012 328i.

I miss not having the comfort of the car displaying speed limit info (8TH). Unfortunately, ZDB is one of the few options I didn't pick, as I couldn't stomach the price tag.

Any idea whether I can get 8TH retrofitted without the other options? I've read in some places 5AG (Active Blind Spot Detection) is a pre-requisite for this feature. Help!
