Deleting a CD from the HD
So it looks like there is no way to delete one CD from the hard drive or even overwrite it. i exported my whole collection which was about 11G. Took about 45 minutes. On the USB drive it only has cryptic folder names and a .dat (i think that's the extension) file that correlates the cryptic names to the actual names. I guess I could delete the cryptic name folder and re-import. Seems like a lot of work. When I import, will everything still be listed on the HD as it was before?

Strange. I've never encountered a problem deleting CD tracks from the drive. I just had a look at the manual (page 166) where there's a deletion process listed. I've always followed that and always managed to remove any unwanted discs or tracks.

Hi,
I think it is because you loaded all the tracks/cd's in one go!! Not individually. It is treating it as one long track, although you loaded multiple cd's onto what ever you used originally eg, i-pod or memory stick or whatever!! Then loaded it onto the hard drive. That is if I have understood your thread correctly. mac10 Sorry just had another look and see you used a USB drive!...........still of the same thought though.....it's one long track! |
