We've been at or near 100 deg for the past month and my air has been just fine. You should have it checked out.

It was just checked...said everything was at spec

We have had a few days of 28degC here in UK (wow!) and the AC has worked really fine.
My other car struggles and the difference is very noticeable!

We drove to south of France and had no problems for the 2 weeks in up to30 degC.

As to the Auto option - I think I get the control sets the max fan speed and seems to work fine, normally just need a few minutes selecting "MAX" option then revert to normal.

I always get blind by the sun. I miss a protector in the middle of the windscreen.

There is a grey shade band option for windscreens and also a UV protection option to reduce overheating. I have both and never have a problem with the sun in my eyes or the car getting too hot. Oh, wait, I live in the UK. You might want to check with someone from a country that has hot and sunny summers at least
