BMW are in the process of scaling down their Le Mans racing.

There is talk of them returning to F1 as an engine supplier, but not full factory race team.

Le Mans is done, ALMS is done after this season. They are not racing the M3 outside of DTM in Europe (that says it all).

Not Scott but I asked that question to Dr. Jens earlier this year and he laughed and said that the car will need an update when the new model comes to market in a few years and that it was taken into considerations when developing this current car.

Dominating?? Both drivers of the AMG HWA team (Gary Paffett and Jamie Green) are point leaders in the 2012 season.

Sooo Impressive, A pole and win in there second race back after a 20 years...Audi and Mercedes have been in DTM for the last decade, and for BMW to come in, and be at the top out of the box is amazing. Lots of respect for BMW Motorsport.

I guess the definition of dominating is winning by a 1 second margin at a track impossible to pass at.

Paffett and Green are currently the class of the field. Time will tell if they can keep it up. The next few tracks looks well suited for the quick AMG's.
