Well apparently BMW are copying Audi and if you wave your foot by the back bumper when you have comfort access, the powered tailgate will open!!!

Congrats on the new purchase! Great color choice too. Agree with others that you will like the power tailgate. Also, big +1 to Lotus' comment about the tire pressure. Dealers seem to deliver them grossly underinflated. I think the reasoning is "it gives a softer ride".

Husband gave the dealer strict orders it was not to be washed, he's a detailer, so he'll be doing the washing, claying, polishing and waxing as per Autopia.ORG. Excellent site for car care.

Got it, love it! Tailgate ended up costing a mere $45 after the $455 option rebate. Lots to learn, but, I now have nothing but time. Truly enjoying the ride! And loving the color!
