Difference btwn "fast route" & "efficient route"
I read the owners manual description, but I still don't get the difference between the two preferences in Nav. Anyone know if there's a big difference between the two?
Thanks again. |

Fastest route may not be the absolute shortest route. Fastest route picks up shortest route with minimum signals, preferably using free ways. Efficient route uses freeways but doesnot care for the signals and thus might go for internal roads too.
Try yourself and see the difference in miles from one poit to another destination using different codices. |

Surely efficiency is based on choosing any route where you can drive at the most efficient speed for fuel economy, i.e. not too fast (freeways/motorways) and not too slow (inner city traffic). Quickest will often be longer than shortest and most efficient will sit somewhere between the two.
