LED signal light are nice and bright, perfectly visible at any time. Doesn't matter what types of signal lights you have, it will be equally dangerous when other drivers choose to ignore them.

Wait, in the US do all x3 35i's have adaptive headlights?

I tried to play with the online build-you-own and looked through online specs but could not find out if I'll need the H8 or the H11 bulb.

I want to buy the replacement fogs by tomorrow- can anyone link me to what I'm missing? What packages in the 2012 35's include the adaptive headlights?

adaptive headlights means I need an H11 right?

Adaptive headlights are standard on 35i, so you need H11.

It will be much safer if you actually took up the fog light bulb and see what you have. I have 35i but my blubs were H8.

that's what I thought, going to pull the trigger on the H11's and just rely on Amazon return policy if incorrect.

Thanks!

How did you get to the front map lights?

I didn't, I kept the original which are nicer for reading lights (the LEDs are too bright for a light you or your wife might activate while driving at night).

In your car manual you can see how change that.

Question How to take out the light domes above the rear doors

Coming back to the interior lights (and to the led project): is there an easy way to take out the light domes above the rear doors to change the bulbs ...anyone done this?

There seem to be two bulbs inside one dome: one for general lighting and one for reading light with a switch.

Already changed the bulbs (with 5W5 / T10 sockets) in the lower part of the car (underneath doors, footwell, trunk) and now going up ...perhaps I still keep the front map lights unchanged because leds would make them maybe too bright (as written in this thread earlier)

Regardless of whether the 28i or 35i, in Canada we don't have the Adaptive fog lights, therefore only ordinary fog light with H8 bulbs (35 w).

Thumbs down

The adaptive fog and headlights are another feature not available to us north of the border.

I just upgraded my interior to LEDs and I purchased it from WX_LED on eBay. It works great and the bulbs are $5.96 with a pair on eBay with free shipping.

Not sure if anyone has seen or tried these yet but I am definitely curious...BMW has released OEM LED kits for interior lights which appear to be applicable across models.

Just to correct something here, as I'm researching changing out my front turn signal bulbs.

As per Osram's bulb chart, our cars take 7507 bulbs, AKA PY21W bulbs, AKA 1056 bulbs.

NOT 1156 bulbs.

Bulb cross reference chart: https://www.superbrightleds.com/car-...oss-reference/

LED interior light retrofit

I'Ve had all my interior lights replaced with BMW LEDs. They were bought from BMW (quite expensive) but the look fabulous. Very bright and high tech. Will attempt to photograph them and post.

Anyone have the guide on how to replace the interior lights ... I saw a post on it and can't seem to be able to find it. I have an X3 arriving in 2 weeks and want to swap out the interior lights to LED. Many thanks.
