Need a snowboard rack, mats/trunk tray recommendation
I just bought a 2008 X3 (monaco blue/sand beige leather, auto trans, PP, CWP, ambient light, nav/bluetooth). Super stoked to own my first BMW.
My wife and I are snowboarders and so I need a recommendation for a good rack setup for the roof for those times that we're traveling with friends and don't want to put the boards inside the car. The Thule Snowcat looks pretty decent, but can I really fit 4 boards in it without scratching up the moonroof? Any other recommendations on that? The car comes with BMW carpet floormats, but for winter I'll definitely want to put some kind of rubber mats in there along with a tray for the trunk that I can pull out and hose down at the end of the season. Any recommendations for this? Should I just go with the BMW accessories, or something like Weathertech? Thanks in advance. |

I have BMW crossbars with a Thule snowboard rack (holds 4 boards).
However, I would like to switch to a full box as I usually bring more than 1 board to the hill and I don't like to leave them locked in the rack.

Thule makes the aero bars for BMW. I bought the aero snowboard rack.
I don't know anything about the one you are looking at.
