"In February 1984, Thatcher's government signed a deal with Japanese car maker Nissan to build an assembly plant. In March, Nissan announced the plant would be located in Sunderland. The factory was built on a greenfield site between November 1984 and December 1985, and production of the Nissan Bluebird started in 1986."

Lotus7 was actually a BMW representative...or at least it seemed that way due to how knowledgeable he is. Other than Desmoduece or Mole7374's claimed friendship with the X3's engineering team I don't think anyone affiliated with BMW reads the X3 forum.
While it would be cool to have a BMW rep or engineer read this forum I don't think it'll happen. With the abundance of lawyers and the lawsuit happy culture in the US for a rep to admit an issue with their cars is just asking for trouble. |

Do you want to know who they listen to the most?
JD Power If you get enough people to be on the panel and gripe, they listen. Forums, there are thousand of BMW forums, there are thousand BMW engineers and designers.....but 1 JD POWER. It's free to join and you get paid to gripe about BMW and other car manufacturers. Don't expect to get rich but you will be heard. |

Why did BMW not use LED rear brake lights on the '13 X3 like the other German auto makers with their current models? LEDs with their greater visibility would they not offer a higher degree of safety? Just sayin'...
