How long did it take to get your X3 in Canada?
Greetings from Vancouver.
I have placed my X3 order yesterday and the sales will get back to me tomorrow/next Monday. I am totally excited now. How long did you have to wait before the car is delivered? |

ordered in mtl on Jan 28, recieved the car today. My dealer said though there's now a 4 month wait here. Weird how different cities have different delivery dates though.

So each dealer is assigned a certain amount of production slots? I was thinking all the orders will be placed in a queue (no matter from which dealer) and they will be processed in order.

It took about 12 weeks, but I have insisted on waiting for April production and to get the ZOX BMW Apps option for the iPhone 4 integration. It could of been much faster otherwise. However, I did not mind waiting. I used that time learning more about the car, insurances and having enough time to change the options if needed. Thinking of the name... There is something sweet and suspenseful in waiting. It getting ready for me, me getting ready for it.

Ordered on april 18th and supposed to be in production this week for mid june delivery.
speaking of insurance, i was shocked when the broker told me the price : 800$/y for 2million responsability, 500$ deductible, and other things i dont remember. i thought it would be much higher, but she told me the X3 is not in the top 10 list of stolen cars. |

a bit OT: i test drove the Q5 last fall and was pretty sold on it, but thought it's wasnt very fast. So i hold on until the X3 was launched in MOntreal auto show and finally test drove it in april. Was so please with the accelation and general handling. So i'm not even looking at the Q5 when seing it on the road and is now a dull car to drive for me.

I was looking at the X3 and Q5 but once I've test driven the X3, i loved it and I didn't bother going to the Audi dealership. Q5 looks a little too clumsy to me. hee hee |
