Seat memory/profile issues

2014 (bought CPO if that matters) - here we go...

Seat issues with the drivers not adjusting to wifey and me all the time. Profiles set, memory in seat set. Sometimes they move, sometimes not. Both keys close by, or one key close the other 50 ft away in house. Same issue

Profile will change all the time, but seat won't. sometimes moves part of the way.

Swapped remotes, new batteries, new car battery, blown away profiles and started over, you name it.

Idiots at Classic BMW (Plano TX) have had it 3 times (in right now). New "genius" resources are useless. They have checked wiring , modules, ect.... Main service guy said, swap keys for a solution (i.e. live with it) with nothing really changed, said NFW, you keep it and figure this out. I should not have to live with this.

Thoughts???

My 2012 is doing the same thing. Shows my profile, but won’t change to my settings.

Our 2014 does this all the time. It's ridiculous.

Seeing as the dealers are useless, we have just dealt with this for the past 4 years. I'd love to know if there is a fix

UPDATE: They replicated issue, but could not find anything wrong. Dealer called, says swap keys - there is a #1 key apparently (mine) that overrides. Call bullshit to advisor - tell him I'm not picking car us until "something" changes. They go in and reset everything, have not had a chance to see if version numbers have actually changed yet though.

BMW "genius" (and I use that term loosely when I know more than 2 of the 3 I've dealt with) says key 1/2 thing is bullshit as well....

Got the truck back - lets see what happens....Stay tuned - I'm not letting this one go.

I’ve about decided the whole Profile system is more trouble than it is worth. I get so confused trying to figure out what settings are stored with profiles, especially when they don’t work consistently.

I dont get what the issue is.

you mean memory seats ?
When you touch the door handle with your own key fob, driver seat won't adjust itself according to the latest position ?

Ive noticed this went both keyfob are in the vehicle, but driver seat will move according to my/wife keyfob... 2013 here.

I am likewise (on my 2013) having issues with things "resetting" and am sure that key/profiles are the culprit. As such I am creating a profile for me that I can select when I start the car to ensure everything is set where I want it to be.

I always use one key but this gives the option to just select the profile and everything is restored. I'll see how this goes. I do believe on some versions of iDrive the keys are not specifically tied to profiles and this could be part of the confusion.

I think I'll get the owners manual out again.
